Just your DESI COLD COFFEE and the best at that!

Who is craving for a simple cold coffee right about now?

Well you could easily whip it up, just follow my simple recipe below.

It would take you less than half the effort of the fancy #dalgona yet giving you the complete desi satisfaction.

Now with that I doubt you need any further persuasion, So let's get started...

Ingredients:

4 Tsp sugar

2 large scoops of ice cubes

2 Tbsp instant coffee powder

1.5 cup of full fat milk

1 Tbsp chocolate malt (optional)

Blender/ Mixer

Method:

Get a blender or a home mixy/ mixer-grinder.

Add 4 teaspoons of regular granulated Sugar, blend to powder.

(Substitutions: Now you can skip this step if you already have powdered sugar, in which case add 4-6 tsp of powdered sugar. You could also replace the sugar with 3 teaspoons of powdered stevia.)

Add 2 Big Scoops of Ice Cubes into the Powdered Sugar

Blend to get a Ice-Sugar Slurry.

This Slurry is what is going to get you that nice froth for your cold coffee.

Add 2 tablespoons of instant coffee powder to the blender.

Add one and a half cup of full fat milk.

(If you are vegan, you can substitute this with oat milk or almond milk for best results.)

As an optional step, you could add 1 tablespoon of chocolate flavored malt, I have used 1 tablespoon of #chocolate flavored #womenshorlics.

(You could substitute this with #cadburyhotchocolate or even protein powder.)

Now, blend the mix well, give it a couple of pulses to make sure the mix is well blended in the blender.

Once blended, immediately put it in the freezer cabinet of your refrigerator. Let it stay there for at-least half an hour. This process will get you that thick layer of froth that you are looking for to line your cold coffee with.

Remember the longer it's in the freezer, the thicker the froth layer becomes, until it starts to crystallize and form ice of coarse. In which case I warned you, Max an hour or two, take it out of the freezer before that!

I kept mine for half an hour max, took it out, checked the froth by lightly nudging it off the corners with the help of a spoon.

Time to serve, just pour the coffee right from the blender jar. The liquid pours out first. Then I just scoop and plop the froth on to the top of the serving cup.

Sprinkle in some coffee powder on top for that extra taste and finished look!

Voila, Cold Coffee ready!

Enjoy!
